Project Name: North Fork Roanoke River Habitat Restoration
Project Project No.: FO18-32064 / F18-32066
Canaan Valley Institute (CVI) wishes to contract with an excavation company on a time and materials basis with a not-to-exceed limit for construction services for a project to restore 3,000 feet of stream corridor habitat along the North Fork of the Roanoke River (River Mile 17.1 & 18.0) near Blacksburg, Montgomery County, Virginia. Project is estimated to occur between August 1st, 2018 and April 15th, 2019. These dates are dependent upon permitting and time-of-year restrictions for federal and state listed species.
The project consists of two separate work areas: The Hickory Hills- “South Farm” (RM 17.1) (37.224, 80.366) and The Hickory Hills-“North-North Farm” (RM18.0) (37.236, -80.359). The Site Contractor will implement the stream restoration project according to the Construction Plan Sheets provided, adhering to all federal, state, and local environmental permits. Construction oversight will be provided by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and CVI. Deadline for Submittals The deadline for submitting proposals is 5:00 PM on July 22, 2018. Submittals received after that time will not be considered. Submit one (1) copy by email, fax, or mail.
